This is a presentation I’ve given at school careers talks. Remember – 65 percent of jobs primary school children will be hired into do not exist yet. When I studied journalism it was all about print. Just three years later, I was working as a digital journalist – a job that had never existed before. Being flexible, grabbing opportunities and being able to ‘pivot’ are key skills today.
(And being able to calculate a percentage for your headline or top line, something I’ve actually had to teach to some journalists who worked for me!)
